Pre-MBA Program

The GLOBIS Pre-MBA Program allows students to take fundamental business courses from the GLOBIS MBA Curriculum. Each course runs for 3 months, with six classes held every other week. Courses are offered every January, April, July, and October. Upon completion, the student earns 1.5 MBA credits transferrable to their future MBA Program at GLOBIS University.

  • It covers the fundamentals of business administration such as strategy, marketing, leadership, accounting, finance and more
  • Students analyze corporate issues described in business cases and discuss solutions in an interactive learning environment
  • Certificates can be offered for each course upon successful completion

Facilitation and Negotiation (FAN)

In today’s fast-moving, global business world, having strong facilitation and negotiation skills is more important than ever. These skills can help boost productivity and open up new opportunities, especially in the unpredictable VUCA environment we’re all navigating. With so much going on, there’s just no time for meetings that don’t lead to real results.

Course Objectives

In this course, students will:

    • Understand how to structure productive meetings and how to manage discussion processes
    • Encourage members and unlock their potential through dialogue. Listen, elicit, and manage output in discussions to help your team achieve its goals
    • Manage digressions, conflicts, and disagreements between parties that arise in discussions
    • Overcome barriers to successful negotiations through value-creating and trust-building techniques

Who should take this course?

This course is intended for students looking to succeed in today’s fast-paced, global business environment. Whether you’re leading group projects, preparing for internships, or aiming to stand out in future roles, strong facilitation and negotiation skills will help you communicate effectively, manage team dynamics, and drive results in any setting.

*About Hybrid/In-Person Classes:

  • All days of the class can be joined online.
  • In-person sessions will take place at a hotel in Taguig, Metro Manila (exact location to be shared to students). Enjoy complimentary food, beverages, and study materials if you are participating in-person. There is a lunch gathering after class, care of GLOBIS.
  • Day 6 Special: Includes a sponsored dinner and/or a class field trip (transportation and related expenses covered by GLOBIS Manila). Participation is optional but recommended.

Original Fee: PHP 70,000 (PHP 61,000 Course Fee + PHP 9,000 Application Fee)
Self-funded students can enjoy a 30% scholarship discount and a waived PHP 9,000 application fee. Flexible payment options are available.

Mr. Cathcart joined GLOBIS after a career in international affairs. Prior to GLOBIS, Mr. Cathcart was a Research Associate for the Japan Center for International Exchange. He combined business principles with his training in Human Security while evaluating projects which empowered survivors of the 2004 Asian tsunami (with the Asia Foundation in Sri Lanka). Mr. Cathcart is trained and certified as a mediator in Massachusetts.
