GLOBIS Alumni Stage Launched

GLOBIS Manila  | February 19, 2026

GLOBIS Manila is proud to announce the successful launch of the GLOBIS Alumni Stage, an initiative designed to amplify the voices of our Filipino GLOBIS University graduates. This dedicated platform empowers alumni to share their professional expertise, lead transformative workshops, and foster a culture of lifelong learning within the Philippine community.

The year kicked off with two high-impact sessions in January and February, featuring our esteemed alumni Therese de los Santos and Mei Losaria.

Building Your Purpose: A Kokorozashi Discovery Session

Speaker: Therese de los Santos (Part-time & Online MBA)

On Saturday, January 31, Therese hosted an in-person workshop in BGC, Taguig. Using the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology, Therese guided participants through a hands-on 3D modeling exercise. The workshop challenged attendees to move beyond abstract thoughts, physically constructing the bridge between their current career paths and their concrete personal missions or their Kokorozashi.

For Therese, the session was more than a workshop—it was a personal milestone. Reflecting on the collaboration with the GLOBIS Manila team, she shared:

“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with GLOBIS Manila and give back to a community that has played such an important role in my self-discovery and professional journey over these past 3 years. This partnership allowed me to directly align my actions with my Kokorozashi: To be the catalyst that converts overwhelm into purposeful action.

When I first explored this initiative with Nica last year, I was met with genuine excitement and open-mindedness. Throughout the process, the support from both Nica and Esee was instrumental; they were very collaborative, which made the design and development of the Kokorozashi X LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® workshop a seamless experience.

This partnership allowed me to transition smoothly from “MBA Graduate” to “Growth Enabler” which allowed me to contribute towards community development. Designing and delivering this workshop validated what I have always suspected: our Manila network is far more than a group of professionals. It is a thriving ecosystem of professionals and leaders dedicated to continuous growth and self-improvement.

For me, this wasn’t just about delivering content; it was a significant milestone in my journey as a Strategic HR Practitioner and a meaningful step toward living my Kokorozashi. Thank you GLOBIS Manila!”

The Introvert’s Edge: Moving from Overthinking to Action

Speaker: Mei Losaria (Full-time MBA)

On Tuesday, February 3, Mei held an online seminar where she shared her personal MBA journey and a practical framework for managing energy, proving that massive growth is possible while staying true to one’s introverted nature. The session resonated deeply with the audience, focusing on the real-world consequences of hesitation and the power of taking small, concrete steps.

For Mei, the Alumni Stage was more than just a speaking engagement. It was a return to the psychological safety she first experienced in the GLOBIS classroom. She shared:

What I appreciate most is that this idea didn’t begin in a formal meeting room. It started as a simple dinner conversation with Nica. I shared what I’ve been building through BraveSpace and how it connects deeply with my kokorozashi — helping people feel more human, make mistakes, and learn how to fail forward. From that casual exchange, we scheduled a meeting and slowly developed the session together.

The entire process felt very aligned with my MBA experience. I felt supported, not micromanaged. Our discussions reminded me of Design Thinking class — challenging ideas without attacking the person. That culture of psychological safety is something I associate strongly with GLOBIS training, and I felt it again working with the GLOBIS Manila team. The flexibility in scheduling and the openness to refine the session made it feel like a true collaboration rather than just an event to execute.

Delivering this topic for the first time was honestly uncomfortable. I wasn’t 100% confident. It was my first time publicly sharing the FAIL framework I built, and I didn’t know if anyone would resonate with it. But that’s exactly why this platform mattered. GLOBIS created a safe experimentation space for alumni who are building something. As someone developing a startup, I need environments where I can test ideas, receive real feedback, and refine my thinking. This felt like that kind of space.

Speaking to a Filipino audience made it even more personal. I’ve experienced how overthinking and delaying action can cost opportunities. There were moments in my life when I already knew what to do but hesitated, and that hesitation came with consequences. I didn’t want them to repeat that pattern. If even one person decides to take a small, concrete step after the session, that already feels meaningful to me.

I often think about the “one starfish” story shared by Professor Axel — a child throwing stranded starfish back into the ocean one by one. When told he can’t possibly save them all, he replies, “It made a difference to that one.” That perspective has stayed with me. We don’t need to impact everyone at once. Helping one person move forward still matters.

I also believe alumni-led sessions are important because they show that learning doesn’t end at graduation. We don’t need to wait until we feel completely established or successful to contribute. In fact, sharing struggles, early failures, and what we would do differently can be more helpful than sharing polished outcomes. For alumni who are building startups, shifting careers, or still figuring things out, GLOBIS can be a community where we talk about the real process, not just the results.

For me personally, this experience felt like coming full circle. From being a student who was once hesitant to speak up, to now encouraging others to act despite uncertainty, it felt meaningful. And if this encourages more alumni to step forward and share their own journeys — even while they are still in progress — I think that’s how our community becomes stronger and more human.

Thank you again, Nica and Esee, and I’m looking forward to more collaborations with GLOBIS Manila. I’m also considering hosting a smaller, semi-invite-only follow-up session for those who attended Introvert’s Edge, perhaps going deeper into topics like imposter syndrome or practical application of the framework. If that aligns with your plans, I’d be happy to explore scheduling another session together.”
